   1932

  • Department of Sanitary Engineering, Industrial Physiology and Chemistry (one of four departments)

  • Dr. Pablo I. de Jesus as head

   1954

  • The former Department of Sanitary Engineering, Industrial Physiology and Chemistry was renamed Department of Public Health Engineering

  

    1974
  • The physiological hygiene section of the Dept. of Physiological Hygiene and Nutrition (DON) was transferred to the Department of Public Health Engineering
  • IPH offered a series of short course jointly with WHO, DOH and other government agencies, including Postgraduate Courses in Occupational Health

    1976

  • The name of the department was changed from Department of Public Health Engineering to Department of Environmental and Occupational Health (DEOH)
     Nov. 28 - Dec. 3, 1983
  • A seminar workshop on Occupational Health and Safety in the Philippines was held at Hotel Montecielo, Baguio City.
  • It was attended by 37 participants from various sectors
     1987
  • The EOH Project was established with financial assistance from GTZ for improvement of existing educational and training programs, research, extension services and collaboration with other agencies.
  • Five-year grant from GTZ for upgrading capabilities for teaching, research and extension services in environmental and occupational health

     Jan. 26-30, 1987

  • A seminar workshop on Occupational Health and Safety was held in Tagaytay. 

  • It was attended by 48 participants coming from nearly the same agencies invited in the 1983 workshop.

     Nov. 24-28, 1988

  • A seminar workshop on Occupational Health and Safety was held in Puerto Azul Beach Hotel, Cavite.

  • The objective was to update developments in the field of occupational and environmental health and safety.
     1988
  • Bureau of Mines Annex was rehabilitated as a CPH Building Annex for the use of DEOH
  • Construction of the 3-storey building, Annex II, with financial assistance from GTZ.
     1990s
  • An ASEAN Regional Workshop on Occupational Safety and Health was conducted.
     1996
  • DEOH offered MOH in flexitime.
     1997
  • MSPH (EH) was approved.
     December 21, 2000
  • President Francisco Nemenzo approved the updated MOH curriculum which includes the Institution of OH 280 (Occupational Health Field Practice) as a core course.
     2005
  • Saturday offering for MOH was approved
